Dermal Fillers Available
Restylane® can enhance volume in the hands, lips, cheeks, or lower facial wrinkles and folds. It reduces wrinkles while lifting and restoring fullness to your skin.
Restylane® Silk is used for lip augmentation and reducing perioral wrinkles (wrinkles around the mouth and lips). Get silkier, smoother, more voluminous lips, while smoothing the lines around your mouth.
Restylane® Lyft offers a deeper implantation into the tissue of the hands and cheeks. It can help correct age-related midface and hand contour deficiencies, giving you natural-looking volume for smoother skin and a more youthful appearance.
Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC……..$575
Restore volume to your mouth area with Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC, a gel that penetrates the skin in your perioral area to perk and enhance its fullness. This treatment can be used for adding volume to thin lips, filling nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the mouth), shaping facial contours, and correcting smile lines.
Juvéderm® Voluma XC……..…$875
Juvéderm® Voluma XC targets age-related volume loss in the midface region, such as flattening cheeks and sagging skin. The filler contours the cheek area with soft volume to give you youthful plumpness and a subtle lift.
Dermal Fillers Q + A
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are smooth injectables that sit beneath your skin holding volume. If your face and hands have lost volume with age, dermal fillers can give you a brighter and more youthful appearance.
At Enhance MD Body & Skin Clinic, Dr. Rosario mostly uses fillers containing hyaluronic acid (HA), like Juvéderm® and Restylane®. Both of these companies produce their own lines of dermal fillers, each of which can target certain areas on the face or hands.
Hyaluronic acid is an agent that already exists in your skin and helps your cells stay hydrated. When injected under the skin as a filler, it acts like your body's own naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, creating a subtle plumpness that looks natural. HA fillers can last 9-12 months or longer, depending on the specific product.
If you’re going for a longer-lasting effect, Sculptra® fillers may be the ideal choice because they also stimulate collagen production. They don’t contain HA but instead use poly-L-lactic acid for durable structure and collagen scaffolding.
How can I change up my look with dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers won’t give you a full face-lift, but they can nonsurgically and strategically add volume to areas that could use a boost. Dr. Rosario works with you to plan your treatment with fillers according to your goals. Using Juvéderm®, Restylane®, or Sculptra® dermal fillers, you can get:
- Plumper lips
- More symmetrical lips
- Plumper cheeks
- More refined facial contours
- Softer hands
- Less prominent deep facial wrinkles, like smile lines
- Shallower scars
- A decreased lower eyelid shadow
To target additional features of aging and skin degeneration, Dr. Rosario may recommend getting other treatments in addition to dermal fillers. Botox® injections, for example, target fine lines that don’t see a difference with fillers. Facials can also give your skin a younger-looking surface.
You can also add platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance your filler treatment with growth factors. See our collagen treatment injectables page to learn more.
What should I expect while getting dermal fillers?
Dr. Rosario makes getting dermal fillers as simple and pain-free as possible in her comfortable office at Enhance MD Body & Skin Clinic. Before the injections, she offers you numbing options like topical anesthesia or ice. Some fillers in the Juvéderm and Restylane lines contain lidocaine for added comfort.
Dr. Rosario injects small amounts of filler with each syringe so she can build up to results that you can see, but that aren’t jarring or overdone. She also assesses and maps your face beforehand so she can work with your natural contours to get the best effect.
The entire process of getting fillers can last 15-60 minutes. Then, you’ll go home with some simple aftercare instructions, like waiting 24-48 hours to resume any exertive exercise.
